The 200 year old Mill House, formally part of Fingals, is set in a secluded South Hams valley, down a quiet country lane. This impressive property is located a mile away from the picturesque village of Dittisham (famous for its plums and crabbing), formerly one of the River Dart's fishing villages it has become a highly desirable waterside destination. Dittisham village has two pubs, a popular village shop and post office, together with a flourishing church and a thriving sailing club. It is an attractive village for families and is highly popular with those who love all forms of water sports. Close by, in East Cornworthy is Blackness Marine, of particular interest to those who own a boat or enjoy sailing. Fingals is located 1/4 mile from East Cornworthy and 2 miles from Cornworthy, a small village with one pub and little passing traffic. Seven miles upriver to the north west, lies the Elizabethan market town of Totnes, which is at the limit of tidal navigation. Two miles downriver to the south of Dittisham, is the historic port of Dartmouth which guards the River Dart's entrance to the sea. The South Hams coastline is dotted with beautiful beaches (many being within a 15 minute drive) which are easily reached by boat or car. For those of an active nature there are many local walks and bridleways together with the stunning South Devon Coastal Path. The Dartmouth Golf and Country Club is close by.
